“Never having been to a hot yoga class, so I thought I would try it out. They had a first class 10 dollars second class free…two class for 5 each, nice. The teacher remembered my name, as he (Zeek) asked at the beginning of class, along with the names of several other new people which I really appreciated. I have since learned so much from each of the teachers and enjoyed the crowd the studio attracts. There is a huge variety of people in the classes, and everyone fits in! It’s not how perfectly you do the poses, it’s about doing the best you can, pushing yourself to the edge, trying something that makes you uncomfortable, and reaping huge benefits from working your entire body. They had membership offer for 19.99 per week, which is an incredible deal (shopped the other studios in town and they have the value by far). I took advantage, and go 6 days a week. I have lost weight, gained a great deal of strength, definitely increased my flexibility, and gotten rid of several persistent and ongoing aches and pains. Practicing at Vegas Hot! Yoga has been very healing, invigorating, and addicting! I LOVE it!”

“I have been to many nightmare studios before so I was VERY excited to stumble upon this Hot Yoga class. It is hidden in the back of a large white building on Rainbow close to the 215. I love that it is off the strip and full of locals!

The instructors are amazing I must say. They make you feel right at home and comfortable. It is not a pretentious studio that makes you buy and wear their clothes only. You can wear a paper bag there and they wouldn’t bat an eye. I’ve been in classes with 6 yr olds to 60 yr olds, and thats what i love most about it.

Unlike Bikram, there are many different classes for all different levels. The $499 unlimited package is a steal. Seems alittle steep but it’s worth it.

Just try there two free classes and you will want to move in there! It truly is an amazing art so I am ecstatic that I live so close.”

“Never tried yoga before, decided to be nuts and try this.  Mind you I hate exercise with a passion and have never been fit and toned in my life.  However, I’m a walking stress basket case most of the time due to my college schedule (I take almost a double full load so I can graduate as quickly as possible), and job hunting all at the same time.  It makes me irritable and bitchy.

So I heard this yoga thing would relax me mentally and make me less jumpy without me having to succumb to anti-depressants like most doctors try to push on you nowadays.

I have never in my life sweated so bad as I did at this class.  It was a little embarrassing because I couldn’t do many of the balance poses without toppling over.  My boobs also hurt from laying face down for some of the poses.  I felt like I was the fattest person in the class. However, none of this stuff bothered me like it normally would in any other situation.

I liked how I felt when I finally stopped sweating when I got home and rested a bit.  It cleared my head and is helping me study for a law final I have to take in a few days.

I think I might go back and try a few more sessions to see how it goes later this week.”

“This studio is awesome! I wish I could practice here every day, but I don’t wish to live in Las Vegas, so I don’t think that first wish is going to come true… Decided to take the 7:30am class on a Sunday morning during the this past weekend with a nice and very competent instructor. She was friendly and very encouraging. She nicknamed me “San Francisco” when she gave me verbal corrections/adjustments. The thirty people in class were mostly regulars. The studio is located on the second floor of ELDAN CENTRE. The facility is H U G E! “Vegas Hot! Yoga and Pilates is one of the largest studios in the world. There are two huge yoga rooms, 85 + classes a week AND 21 teachers.” The locker room is great which contains lockers, 4 showers with soap and shampoo dispensers, 3 bathrooms and a couple of sinks. It’s a very clean studio, I loved that it’s not a carpeted floor, more like woven plastic material is used. It was a HOT class, the temperature is controlled, no windows being opened and closed by the teacher though, just turning the ceiling fans on and off. The lobby is very open; behind the front desk is a refrigerator (cold “Real” Alkaline Ionized water 32 oz. and Zico coconut water for sale. Both towels and mat are available to rent, $2 each. There are two water cooler dispensers available, so feel free to fill up your own water bottle with cold, cold, cold h2o! Oh yeah, and they sell yoga gears, too. Drop-in price isn’t bad, $20. Good deal for “Out-of-Town-Visitors,” $24 which includes water, two towels and mat rentals. For the locals, 12-month membership cheap, $499 for unlimited yoga for a year! Monday – Friday; yoga starts at 5:30am, last class at 9:00pm. On the weekends, eight classes are taught throughout the day from 7:30am to 7:30pm. Be sure to check out their website for the updated weekly schedule time and teachers :-) !”

“Vegas Hot! Yoga is awesome. It’s one of the largest, cleanest facilities I’ve ever seen, and also offers the best prices! What could be better? I got so board with the manotany doing just Bikram and notice that i was plateauing and not longer really progressing. Now, i regularly do about 3 of the 6 classes that they offer which i take on a weekly rotating schedule. The venus beginner class is excellent and much better on my hips and knees. I also like that it includes some core exercises as well. Recently i have been really enjoying the flow and power yoga classes. The best part is i am in the best shape of my life and i look forward to each and every class! Who ever the studio owner is, he/she has my sincerest appreciation, because i never knew that doing this form of yoga would make me feel and look this good! I am very happy Yogi now and thank goodness I live in Las Vegas!”

“This studio has just added so many options for me. Before the changes, there was just one form of yoga. Now I have many choices. At times I choose a more meditative class. Other days a flow class which is faster paced is what I want. Some classes target upper body and abs or core which are areas I always need to tone and strengthen. I love that Vegas Hot has renewed my enjoyment of yoga. I am getting healthier and more fit each week. Everyone is friendly and the place is literally my oasis.‎‎”

“Wow!! I am brand new to Bikram. I took the venus beginner yesterday , and came back for more today for mat pilates!! What an amazing and challenging class it was. Gabriella was the instructor. She is excellent. Her choice in music and her verbal instruction was very helpful. If you want a totally new way to challenge yourself and need a good ( GREAT!!

“I think this studio is perfect. it started as a bikram studio, which is great, but to me, bikram shouldn’t be the be-all end-all ofyoga. It is an excellent place to start, but it feels like a dead end. There is no room to grow. What happens when I can do tree, and toe stand?? With this studio and the new classes it offers, it has showed me that my body and mind can reach new heights. My limits have been severly pushed back by the incredible knowledge and delivery of their teachers. I had no idea yoga could involve so much movement! My cardio and stamina has soared since beginning my vinyasa practice. I have learned more in the past few weeks of vinyasa classes than in my entire first year of Bikram. For those of you who seem to be upset that bikram is gone, keep in mind the venus beginner series is very similar, enough so that i get the same workout in either class. And as far as sweating goes, I checked to see if the super heat helped me lose more sweat and it turns out that Zeeky’s Baptiste class made me drop MORE WATER WEIGHT, and that class was at 92 degrees!!! At least this studio gives me room to grow, to enjoy my body in the most possible ways. I am very glad that they have begun offering new classes and hope that they continue to add to their schedule; i can only dream of what my body and mind can do from here on!”

“I have tried many forms of exercise over the years, including heavy weight lifting and daily 4+ mile jogs. With the weight training I severely injured my shoulder and lower back and I also had stop jogging due knee problems…And then I found hotYoga! For the first time I can see some hope and actually enjoy exercising again! The classes are challenging, but I always feel a sense of accomplishment after each session. My only regret is that i did not find hot yoga 10 years ago. Some of the family is stating to practice and they are now raving about it to there friends as well…hope this is helpful and take it from me, if you have never done hot yoga, you owe it to yourself to try it!”

“I’ve been going to this studio for a year now on and off again. When I first started, it was only bikram yoga all day everyday. My first class with frank was fantastic. Now they have a variety of classes which keeps me coming around. I can tell that the instructors care very much about your health and well being. A lot of the instructors do a good job informing their students about the importance of each posture. They also make sure you’re doing them right. I brought my coworker to do bikramyoga this morning and I wasn’t sure if she would enjoy it.. The class was rather crowded but right after class, she said she felt really good and signed up for the $30 introductory period right away. Now we got everyone else at work interested in going =).”

“This studio is awesome! I wish I can practice here every day, but I don’t wish to live in Las Vegas, so I don’t think that first wish is going to come true…

Decided to take the 7:30am class on a Sunday morning during the Memorial Day weekend with Adele Rae. She was friendly and very encouraging. Adele nicknamed me “San Francisco” when she gave me verbal corrections/adjustments.  The thirty people in class were mostly regulars.”

“I was in Las Vegas on business and was excited to go to a class. A bit expensive for a walk-in class ($24), but you do get two towels, a mat, and a large bottle of Smart Water). A nice touch was availability of a lock. It’s a very nice studio (weird type of flooring though), with a clean changing area and showers. The room wasn’t at a constant temperature and the instructor kept having to open and close one of the doors. The instructor was generally good and kept the class at a good pace. Maybe a touch more “coaching” would have been good. If you’re traveling to Vegas, definitely worth going. But as a studio overall I rate it about average – it won’t disappoint, but you won’t be wowed either.

“This is the studio that was on Trop and Rainbow. They outgrew their old studio and moved to Rainbow and Russel.

I’ll be more specific and critical in this posting than I was in the last about this business. Because I’m a bitch like that.

Their new facility is huge. There are two practice rooms. The smaller of the two is a little bigger than their old, cramped room. The large room is prolly 30% larger.

There are classes every day from 6a to 11p. Classes that land on the even hour take place in the large room. Classes that land on the odd hour happen in the smaller room. The larger room doesn’t get as hot, so I suggest noobs try out the odd hour classes.

The material on the floor is this weird noodle-looking material. Its slipperier than the other stuff. People have to rearrange their mats for asanas like trikonasana (triangle) where you straddle your mat.

There is a lot of silicone that comes in and out of that place. People that go to Bikram are generally more concerned about their looks than people that go to other schools of yoga. Especially in Vegas. There are a lot of performers and entertainers that come in.

Bikram is a very American-ized version of yoga, but its a really intense physical workout. Yoga doesn’t normally entail much cardio. But if anyone tries to tell you that Bikram doesn’t have cardio, they’re not well-informed. I never imagined I could get my heart rate up so high standing still.

And you’ll sweat. You’ll sweat like you’re in the rainforest. The heat is cranked up to ~105F and ~40% humidity. Its like tropical weather on steroids. I normally sweat out three pounds, including the quart of SmartWater I just ingested.

The reason class is so hot is to get you jucier and more limber quicker. And to “sweat out the toxins.” Which to me is still ambiguous and kitch.

If you don’t drink a SmartWater during class, I recommend you get your electrolyes some how. Pills, coconut juice, whatever. The day you go to Bikram, drink lots of water, before AND after. Have a lot of dairy before you go. JUST KIDDING. If you have dairy, you’ll prolly throw up. Don’t eat anything too soon before. When BF goes, he likes to go STARVING. If I go early in the am, I at least have a banana or something because I’ll pass out otherwise. You think I’m kidding.

Don’t be afraid to dress skimpy. Do NOT wear pants of any kind. Not even capris. You might die. Seriously. By the time I’m done with the 90-minute session, I am soaking wet. I start sweating during the first three minutes. My towel is wet enough to wring out. I just wear a sports bra and bike shorts.

Even though every class is the same series of 26 asanas, depending on the instructor, it can be difficult or it can be very difficult. Some instructors open the door during practice and let th stale air out. Some just let you bake in your funky air. I prefer the former.

The bathrooms are hugangous, too. There are showers equipt with shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Bring your own towel or you can rent. They also provide q-tips (!!) and hair ties. For the ladies there are four showers + handicap. For the guys, I don’t know. I’d imagine its the same. I should check one day …

By the way, why do women always want to talk to me when they’re buckass naked? Is it because they know it freaks me out? Is it written on my face?

They provide pretty much all the peripherals you’ll need. You should bring your own yoga mat, a beach towel, small towel, quart-size or larger SmartWater, and whatever bathing stuff you need. If you don’t have some or any of these things, they can provide for a small rental fee. For noobs, this fee is waived. They also have lockers up for rental.

There’s also a small clothing boutique where they sell Shakti and Poppi Wear, perfect for hot yoga practice.

“OK, so I have never been to a yoga place before so I have nothing to compare this to.  However, my friend and I had a very positive experience here.  An instructor spent well over an hour with us answering our questions and explaining everything to us – for free.

Make sure you bring a yoga mat and 2 large towels (you can always rent these).  Do not wear heavy exercise clothing such as sweats.  Think light and skimpy.  Bring LOTS of plain water.  Just imagine all of the water you normally would drink in a day, then double it.  No gatorade or anything like that.

Be prepared to become addicted to exercise.  Afterwards, we felt amazing energy and life which lasted for approximately two days after each visit.  This program is for beginners all the way to advanced.

Be prepared to sweat!!

The only con about this place is that the locker room/changing room/restroom is the size of my closet.  Maybe even smaller.

Check the schedule b/c you cannot arrive late for a class.”
